The Most Common Mattress Sizes in Greece (2025–2026)

Tip: In the Southern Suburbs, most new homes have a master bedroom designed for a king-size or super king-size bed—always measure the bed plus 5–10 cm of clearance on each side.
How to Choose the Right Size (Checklist)
- Measure your bed (not your old mattress!) Many beds have internal dimensions that differ slightly from the standard ones (e.g., 148×198 instead of 150×200).
- Calculate the available space in the room Leave at least 60–70 cm on each side for easy layering and access.
- Think about your sleep habits
- Do you sleep on your side and need space? → Queen or King
- Does your partner move around a lot? → Split King (two 90 cm mattresses) for different firmness levels
- Do you have children or pets who climb on the bed? → Super King or King with reinforced edges
- Think about transportation and entry In apartments with narrow staircases or elevators, split sizes (2×90 cm) are a lifesaver.
Custom Dimensions: When Are They Worth It?
- Non-standard bed (e.g., 170×210, 155×195)
- Very tall people (>1.90 m) → need a length of 210–220 cm
- Yachts, vacation homes, or hotels → custom height & size
- Split King with different firmness levels on each side
